Kumite

There are different types of kumite (sparring), including numerous variations within a style. The following descriptions are for the types of pre-arranged kumite taught at the Shintai Karate dojos. These sparring forms are based on the forms taught to Sensie Tyrie by Sensei Adamou and those he learnt while a member of Kancho Kanazawa's SKI group. Sensei Tyrie also teaches other variations at the Shintai dojo.
